This auction is for a very rare NOS RAV camshaft,big hole lifters and push rods. I purchased this complete setup from the legendary RAV drag racer Father Jerry Leake from Aurora Illinois. His Pontiac Astre is shown in Pete McCarthy’s book and had the dual quad single plane intake that Pontiac gave to Arnie Beswick on it at one time. I purchased all the RAV parts he had left way back in the late 80s. This is a special grind General Kinetics NOS RAV camshaft which he said was designed for street use. It is also very unique in that it has a large drive gear so it can be used in any Pontiac V-8 block from 1965-1979. It can also be used in a big distributor hole block as well by just using the standard distributor gear. It has never been used in anything and still has a thick wax coating from the factory. That is why it looks spotty in places. It is absolutely mint. Also included are the NOS big hole solid lifters. The factory pin hole lifters were not intended for daily driving as they were meant for high RPM use only to keep the oil at the bottom of the motor. This is a very rare one of a kind setup.
