For those unfamiliar with Sebastian miniatures,.. they were started in 1938 by Mr. Prescott Baston. His pieces were made of ceramstone rather than the traditional fired porcelain which made them less expensive. They are all hand cast & hand painted. He sold retail, private commissions, and collectors clubs. All pieces are marked, usually with date and item name & no two pieces are exactly alike. From the Sebastian Collectors Society in 1986 comes “Santa in the Chimney”. Base is 2.5″ by 2″ and it stands 3.25″ high. In perfect condition.
