2002FenderTom DeLongeArtist SeriesSignature StratocasterGloss Surf Green FinishElectric Guitar Used – Very Good Condition Originally produced as a special run for Musician’s Friend and Guitar Center, the Tom DeLonge Stratocaster was added to the Fender lineup in 2001 and featured a unique 4-ply pickguard routed for a single humbucking pickup and volume control. Other features included a special neckplate with Tom’s signature etched on it, a Seymour Duncan Invader SH8 humbucking pickup, white dot position inlays, and a ’70s-style headstock and decal. Offering pure punk rock fun, this Artist Series Strat is ready to slam out some quick and intense power chords! Cosmetic and Functionality DescriptionBody: the bottom strap hook is missing; there are some obvious cracks in the lacquer, the most notice ones being between the jackplate and the pickguard and the other extending from the neck pocket on the bass side cutaway; some scuff marks, scratches, and a few small to medium-sized dings can be found on the top, back, and sides of the body–light to moderate buckle rash; the pickguard and the neckplate show some scratches from normal use Neck, Fretboard, and Headstock: the fretboard has one obvious ding just past the 3rd fret between the B and high E string, plus it could probably use a good cleaning; the back of the neck has some small to medium-sized dings and indentations down the center that should not affect comfort or playability; the back of the headstock looks virtually flawless, but the front face has two small dings in the finish and the sides show some small dings and scrapes, particularly along the end Action and Playability: the action is about medium-low, plus the neck is straight and the truss rod functions flawlessly Frets: most of the frets have some small grooves forming in them, however there is not fret out or buzzing at this time Hardware: the bottom strap hook is missing; the tuners and bridge have some very tiny rust spots on them, plus the G string tuner has a couple of small dings on the covering; the bridge, jackplate, and neckplate all have some scratches on them Electronics: all functions flawlessly Includes: electric guitar (bottom strap hook and case/gig bag not included) FeaturesDouble cutaway bodyGloss surf green finish (for some reason the pictures make it look more like the daphne blue model)4-ply white pearloid pickguardAlder bodyBolt-on maple neckModern C neck profileRosewood fretboard9.5″ radiusWhite dot inlays21 medium-jumbo frets Chrome vintage-style tunersChrome hardwareHardtail string-through bridge1 x Seymour Duncan Invader SH8 humbucker1 x Volume knobScale: 25.5″Nut width: 1.650″Weight: 7 lbs. 3 oz.Made in Mexico Buy used and save big!
