Iconic Italian Ceramic Decorated Candle Holders Made at the Bitossi factory in Montelupo outside Florence The Design of these striking pots was by Aldo Londi, head of design at Bitossi since after the 2nd world war. He developed and incised decorating style coupled with his mix of blue and green glaze most often refered to as Rimini Blue. Each piece is invariably unique in some way, although these two are the same shape they are not a matched pair, the back stamp is slightly different so unlikely they were made at exactly the same time. Having looked over them, there is one thing of not a small piece of glaze is missing on the lower part of the rim lip, its not so much visible as it can be felt due to the rustic nature of the finish. there are no cracks or other faults, do expect some signs of handling and use however these are preowned and vintage 10cm x 4.5cm FAST DISPATCH I am happy to combine postage when appropriate, You need to simply let me know in advance and DO NOT PAY IMMEDIATELY, if you do pay immediately dont panic as i’ll refund you any additional costs on multiple purchases once packed if I you havent given me a chance to combine on one invoice. ie you paid immediately!
