Signal Circuit Test: When the vehicle has a fault code, in order to quickly determine whether the fault is caused by a certain sensor circuit, you can use this tool to quickly draw a conclusion. Find Short Circuit: A short can manifest itself as a blown fuse or a tripped electrical protection device. Use the probe tip to activate and energize each fuse contact. The contacts that trip the circuit breaker are shorted. Find Bad Ground: Probe for suspected ground wires or touch probe tips. If the breaker has tripped, the circuit is most likely grounded.
