Beautiful pair of very closely matched Sylvania 6V6GT gray glass tubes, with original boxes. One is labeled for Zenith, but is a structurally-identical, Sylvania manufactured tube. 1956 and 1958 date codes. Gm matched to about 1% difference, and a difference in plate current of a little under 2mA, as tested on the Maximatcher2. Please note that NOS 6V6s almost always test considerably less than the recommended range of 3000+umhos on the Maximatcher. Small signal (i.e. 12AX7) tubes are generally checked for noise and microphonics; power tubes (i.e. 6L6) are usually not. However, please keep in mind that the results of this test are subjective and may not be acceptable for your application. Nominal values are given for reference on many tubes. A tube may measure greater than or less than nominal – by as much as 20% – and still be an unused, NOS tube.
