UPDATE H & R Just made 1500 more of these knives the same knife they made back in early 2020 model # HR-0070 With a Gut Hook. But these are not German made the blade is, and the stag is from the U.S. these were assembled in Pakistan and packaged to save them money and so they could give you a better price $60.85 delivered to your door. The 2020 knives sold for $89.95 so there’s near $29.10. saved and if these were 100% German they would be just over one hundred dollars. Today is 9/14/23 and we have sold plenty of these knives assembled in Pakistan, they look and work just like the German made knives so we hope you will try one.HEN & ROOSTER STAG HANDLE BOWIE KNIFE MADE FOR 2020, This 8.5″ Overall Bowie ****THE FIELD PRO**** Model # HR-0070. is a beast look at the size of the stag scale’s they put on this Bowie. Plus it weighs 9.9oz. 12.6oz. this can vary a little because of the natural materials, with sheath this goes right into the Power-House / Heavy-Duty Series of knives just from its weight. Please remember this is not just a gut hook knife it is a regular knife with a gut hook so don’t think that is all it can do. We would rather see Germany on these to but its not please don’t let a name stop you from buying a great knife and it is. I’m not going to harp on this we hope you are smart enough to see why they did this to save you money. H & R also added thumb rest on the spine and a brass finger Guard and a Brass Finger Guard so your hand won’t move while cutting. Its full tang construction so we know it is one of the strongest knives made one piece of German 440 Stainless steel. Model # HR-0070 with Brass Pins and Guard, the blade is 4.25″ long and its edge is 3.5″ and a large Gut Hook, honestly the largest Gut Hook I have sold in my 40 years, some are to tight making it hard to get under the skin but this hook will make cleaning your harvest a breeze to help you have no mistakes while cleaning your harvest and its handle is 4.5″ long and the Dia, is 3.75″ thick unheard of lately, plus this 8 1/2″ has a Lanyard Hole and yes you will get this knife we got 5 for now after this knife sells the pic’s will be example of what you get and we have not looked at the others they could look even better or the same none will be light. It comes with a genuine Leather Belt Sheath. For now these are the only 5 we have we have, we did order 12 more and got 3 on 8/20/20 but we were told H & R brought a full bin of 5 star stag and paid a small fortune for it, we know they will be making these 8.5 ” Bowie plus some 12″ & a 10″ and this Gut Hook knives, this was the only knife of the 5 that said made in limited quantities I will find out more about this and let you know. and we will buy all we can. Here are the numbers of the new knives, HR-805, HR-185, HR-184, HR-0040, HR-0070. We brought 96 of each one of these, back in 2020 some even more 1 year after doing that H & R made 1500 more of each for 2022 that was all of the stag they had.
