They wre pretty much stock EMDs, delivered in KCS red with spartan markings. Andy’s painting illustrates one such unit #115 with another GP30, dressed in KCS’s later bright white paint design in the background. The GP30s were all retired by August of 1990 after almost 30 years of service.
