Christian and his wife, Grethe passed on its tradition to their son, Ole and his wife Aase who continue the family tradition near Brenderup, Funen, which is still the FLENSTED MOBILE CENTRE. They continue to develop ideas for new and original mobiles regularly from their “Department of Space Research”. How Flensted Produces Mobiles Scattered around our island of Funen Denmark, skilled and diligent home-workers are mounting, assembling and packing the mobiles. Every 14 days they get new material for the mobiles – and when they return about a fortnight later, the mobiles are ready to fly – all over the world. Sustainable Production This is how it works – instead of 50 people every day drive into the “factory” and assemble mobiles, they work from their homes. Every 2 weeks Flensted makes one visit to all their workers and exchange unassembled parts for mobiles packaged and ready to ship. Flensted has been doing this for nearly 60 years.
