NOS and take off parts from Savage Made Lee Enfield No4 MK1 and Mk1* Rifles – as indicated. Made by Savage and Stephens (sub contractor) to complete WW2 contracts to British and territorial forces. This listing is a selection of parts that are allowable to be sold in the 48 continuous states only though eBay – these parts will not constitute a firearm when assembled but will help you finish your existing device. The parts include butt plates, sling swivels, bands, front sight protectors, rear sights, safety catches, ejector, extractor, bolt heads, trigger guards, magazines (all 10 rounds or less), wooden furniture and the required screws, clips, pins and other hardware to mount them. All are marked with a “squared S” for Savage, or a “squared S in a square” for Stephens (contractor) on an internal or external surface and are in good (or better) useable condition (see condition descriptions above). Ideal for completing or restoring your Savage made No4 Mk1 and Mk1* Lee Enfield rifles. NOS Trials Format Front Upper Handguard are NOS and feature the groove / relief for the hinged upper band and stepped inner front bearing area – these features remained on the first / early No4 mk1 production (until eliminated). Recon upper rear wood, old stock sooted beech (armoury replacements) stained medium walnut, grooves freshly machined in with square S marks on the underside (probably added) – good to blend an existing wood set together. The works of Skennerton:Small Arms Identification Series are @50 pages (11″ x 8.25″) with laminated covers and stitched spines. In depth history, larger parts diagrams, key makes, marques and versions depicted. Handbooks are 34 pocket sized pages (5.5″ x 8.5″) with laminated covers – simple history, parts description and strip /reassembly instructions.
