eBay Very nice Kali statue from Nepal Beautiful old Tara is approx. 40 years old. I bought them at a market in Bhaktapur, near Kathamndu. It is very fine and, above all, very detailed. She has a fire-gilded face, Kali’s body is black with a light greenish patina. Kali, literally translated “the black one” is the goddess of death, destruction and renewal. In Indian mythology, she embodies the wrath of Durga. Kali has sprung from Durga’s forehead. She immediately threw herself into the fray, destroying any demon that got in her way. the heads of their victims she hung herself in one Chain around the neck. In her zeal, however, she was unstoppable and blindly destroyed everything around her. The deities grew desperate and didn’t know how to stop Kali. In doing so, he threw himself God Shiva under her feet. Realizing who she was standing on, Kali ended her fighting and stuck out her tongue, around shame to signal. Kali is one of the few goddesses who can grant wishes. The material bronze. she weighs approx. 7.8 kilos.
