For sale is an original oil on canvas painting depicting the Staghound clipper ship in full sail, painted by listed British marine artist William John Popham (1907-1995). This marine scene captures the Staghound clipper ship navigating through rolling ocean waves, its sails fully unfurled as it cuts through the water. The painting is signed lower left by the artist, “W. J. Popham.” It measures on the stretcher 16.1″ by 22″ inches, and is housed in a gilt frame measuring 17.5″ by 23.4″ inches.
